After last year’s debut, Titan has once again decided to field a crew for the St Neots Dragon Boat Festival. The event, which is in its fifth year, will raise money for local charities as well as provide a fun and entertaining day out. Teams are comprised of 10 people paddling, with a drummer at the front to keep everyone in time with each other.
Titan are delighted to welcome Michael Sheridan to the business in the role as Operations Director. Michael joins the business during an exciting chapter in the business’ development, with the addition of innovative products, increased OEM work and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
Last week, Steve Milton, Head of Ricardo’s engine operations, visited Titan to present their Supplier of the Year Award. The award recognises outstanding overall performance in Titan’s supply of products and services to Ricardo over the past 12 months. With the emphasis on delivery and product quality, Titan achieved 100 percent on time and in full delivery throughout 2017.
Titan has won the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) Small Business of the Year Award, having had 13% annualised growth over the last five years and with a turnover target of £8m in 2018. The award was presented at the Business Excellence Awards, held on the evening of the first day at Autosport International, Europe’s premier motorsport exhibition.

Titan have been collaborating with Zenos cars since their formation in 2012. The combined expertise between the two companies has resulted in the development of many crucial parts for the E10 range of lightweight sports cars.

The world renowned Automechanika show will be debuting at Birmingham’s NEC from the 7th – 9th of June. The show, targeting the automotive aftermarket and supply chain, originated in Frankfurt, Germany and has been so popular that it has now expanded to 15 separate locations around the world.
This weekend (30th April – 1st May 2016) Ford enthusiasts will be descending on London’s Sandown Racecourse in the form of the International Ford Show.
The brand new two day event for 2016 will take place at the Race courses’ exhibition halls and will feature some of the very best Ford cars and parts from all over the UK and Europe.
Titan sponsored racing team AJ Racing will run in ten rounds of the British Sprint Championship and the Hill Climb and Sprint Association Speed Championship, after a successful season of running in Time Attack.
On the 19th April, members of the St Neots Cycling Club and Titan handed over a cheque for £625.00 to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, concluding a super successful fundraising event held at the end of February.
AJ Racing was established in 2012 by Jon and Alison Morris. With Jon’s ties to the Black Watch Army Regiment the team’s aim was to provide injured servicemen and women an opportunity to participate in motorsport and aid their recovery through some friendly competition.
Titan will return to the forthcoming PMW show in Cologne Germany displaying a range of products and services that will impress. On stand 7026, Titan will display its popular ranges of throttle bodies, complete with carbon trumpets, as well as dry sump kits, LSDs and steering rack solutions.
On September 16th, Titan hosted a group of students from the College of West Anglia and provided a guided tour of the premises. Titan co-owner, and Chairman Oz Timms led the tour, showing the students the full range of services that Titan offers, with a view to broadening their ideas of what manufacturing can offer them as a career.

The last time we reported on the Bloodhound project, they had just fitted the specially designed Titan steering rack. Since then, the project has made significant steps towards achieving their aim of breaking the 1,000 mph barrier.
Last week saw the Titan team exhibiting at one of the UK’s premier historic Motorsport shows, Race Retro. The event, held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, celebrated the 50th anniversary of Chevron Racing, 50 years since Mike Hailwood won the 1965 World Motorcycle Championship and also paid tribute to the late rally legend, Richard Burns.
Following last year’s launch of a brand new range of throttle bodies featuring carbon fibre trumpets, Titan used this year’s show to announce the addition of a brand new Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) facility to their existing premises.
Formula Student, the world’s largest student motorsport event, held its blue-ribbon event earlier this month at Silverstone Circuit, UK. Titan have been supporters of the competition for several years now, supplying as many as 16 teams with parts for this year's event.
Although Titan specialise in developing engineering solution for major OEMs and top-level racing teams, we also cater for individual competitors at a more grass-roots level, both for rally and track racing. Two of such customers are ZR TEC Rally and AJ Racing.

Titan launched its new range of throttle bodies at the recent Autosport International show. The new range, featuring carbon-fibre trumpets and lightweight castings, has been designed to meet the demands of motorsport, but also offer a reliable and cost effective solution to fast road applications.
Titan, the motorsport and automotive components manufacturing specialist based in St. Neots, supported 29 teams during the recently held Formula Student competition, as well as running support programmes for other would-be young engineers.
