Undoubtedly one of the key components to Titan’s successes over the last 4 decades has been its committed and expert staff. The company ethos of delivering high quality products on time and achieving high customer satisfaction is only possible through Titan’s workforce, and getting the right people on board is essential.
As all successful businesses do, Titan invests in its people and to this end a new apprenticeship scheme has been developed, to provide those starting their careers at Titan to gain a well-rounded, and focused learning approach that will make them an integral part of Titan’s success moving forward.
Managing Director George Lendrum has been heavily involved in these recent developments. “We’ve decided that it is all well and good to have an apprenticeship policy, but we recognised we could do much more” states George. “Titan needs to move forward, not just in terms of technologies, materials and processes, but also with its people.”
“I do believe that it is important to ensure today’s young people are turned onto engineering, and that this profession is not forgotten when planning future career paths” states George. “It is important that we get in young, innovative and dynamic people into the business to drive us forward in the future. Setting up these schemes was a logical thing to do.”
“The aim is for Titan to be the employer of choice in the St. Neots area, and putting these schemes in place is a step in the right direction to achieve this” George concludes.
