We are looking to recruit an Engineering Inspector to join our busy Inspection and Quality Team.

Engineering Inspector

Working in a dynamic Inspection department, th aim of the role is to drive quality through the manufacturing process, by following the company's quality procedures and working closely with all relevant people in the Manufacturing and Quality Teams.

This role includes; 

  • The inspection and sign off the "First Off" component for each batch of production parts, ensuring the accuracy of the precision machined components manufactured in the company's busy CNC machine shop.
  • The inspection of any inbound goods manufactured outside of the business.
  • Creation of Inspection schedules, highlighting the key characteristics of the component.
  • Producing inspection reports such as I.S.I.R and F.A I.R reports.

Key requirements;

  • Experienced reading and understanding of Engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. (Training could be provided)
  • Experienced with relevant measuring equipment, including Digital Height Gauge, Micrometres, Bore Mics etc.
  • Understanding of the P.P.A.P process, and I.S.I.R and F.A.I.R reporting would also prove beneficial.

In order to provide support within the department, we would ideally like to find someone who either has experience or would be interested in learning how to program the Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).

Our CMM is a Hexagon Global machine that runs PC DMIS software for which full training will be offered to the right applicant, providing an opportuninty for future progression.
